As England falls under the newly enforced rules of Lockdown 2, we are pleased at McRae’s Sales, Lettings & Management to report that we are able to work on for you, our clients.
The government has unveiled the public health regulations which will underpin the second national lockdown in England – and the exemptions which apply to estate agency.
Following overwhelming approval in Parliament – by 516 votes to 38 – the regulations, specifically state that activities relating to the property sector are allowed to continue under ‘Exceptions To Leaving Home’.
Therefore – albeit under strict COVID safety guidelines – McRae’s will continue to undertake the following activities in connection with the selling, buying, letting or renting of property:
VISIT OUR OFFICES
Clients can visit our offices located opposite the railway station in Highams Park having made a prior appointment. PPE will be required and there should be no visits if you or someone you’ve been in contact with has tested positive or has symptoms of COVID.
VIEWINGS
Clients can view residential properties to buy or to rent – subject to safety guidelines and restrictions.
MOVE HOUSE, PREPARE FOR SALE OR RENT
The public are also allowed to move house, prepare a residential property to move in and to visit a residential property to undertake any activities required for the rental or sale of that property.
At this stage, the second lockdown will be in operation until December 2.
We will keep our clients fully informed of the guidelines and of any other advice from property watchdogs and governing bodies.
Craig McRae, Managing Director of McRae’s says: “After the laying of regulations for national lockdown measures in England we are very pleased that our hard work to keep customers safe and the importance of the property sector has been recognised with exceptions in the rules for home moves and transactions. We have strived to give our customers – and our own staff – a sense of confidence in any dealings with us and on property visits. Our aim, as always at McRae’s, is to serve our clients to the best of our abilities. We are pleased to be able to continue to do that.”
More from McRae’s Sales, Lettings & Management soon. In the meantime, please keep safe and take care.
